From their 1970 Jackson 5 Christmas Album comes "UP On The Housetop". Mingled with little clips of "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Rudolph" to the tune of ABC.
This goes way back to 1860! When album charts never even existed. To a United Brethren Church way deep in the backwoods.
But in 1953, this traditional sing-a-long transcended into a Country record by Gene Autry( listen Here). During the 60's, Motown used this carol for a handful of recording artists to render unique interpretations. "The Jackson Five" happen to be on the caboose.
