Sugar Daddy

Sugar Daddy reached #3 for The Jackson 5 off their Greatest Hits LP

"Sugar Daddy" was the only new thing to come off The Jackson 5's Greatest Hits LP. It became #3 on The R&B Singles Chart.

The piano riffs, vocal driffs, and rhythm swiffs make this an unforgettable and forgotten tune! Listen below...

Lyrics

Ooh, brand new boots I bought ya, fine, fine, blew your mind
Finally thought I caught ya and your love was mine all mine

I see you walk by with other guys,
step, step, stepin' on my toes
The whole world's talkin bout
how I'm your stand by Santa Claus

But ooh, your kisses thrill me, show love your angel eyes
The devil in you kills me, but I made up my mind

I'm gonna be your sugar daddy, give you honey all my money
Well L.A. to Cincinnati that's how far I'd crawl for you
Oh baby I'll be your sugar daddy, give you kissin' when its missin', yeah Oh
baby, I'll try to keep you happy cause I got a sweet tooth for your love

S-U-G, listen to me, listen to me
A-R, what it is, what it is now
D-A-D-D, Y spells I'm your good thing

King of fools they crowned me, and that crown just fits me to a T
Cause you only come around me just to pick up what you need
You just play on my emotions, with please, please, pretty please
Well everybody's got the notion I'm your goodwill industry (Oh Henry)

He's driving me nuts, while I'm giving you the candy, he's gettin' all
your love (Mary Jane said, Mary Jane said I'm just your lollipop, sucker)
Well my flavor's long lasting girl, it ain't ever gonna stop

Baby I'm a fool just a fool in love with you, (I cant help myself, oh no)
Oh no I cant help myself

I'm gonna be your sugar daddy, give you honey all my money
Well L.A. to Cincinnati that's how far I'd crawl for you
Oh baby I'll be your sugar daddy, give you kissin' when its missin'
I'll even let you drive my caddy, when I get one baby
Now listen, I'm gonna be your sugar daddy, give you honey, all my money

Little Susie

Some believe this to be based on a true story. However, it's been more or less confirmed as a fictional tale. Partly Inspired by Gottfried Helnwein's artwork. Who is famous for his emotional imagery-Especially of children(in fact, Michael used his Lichtkind(Child of Light) painting to depict this song on The History Vol. 1 Booklet).

In this tragic tale, Little Susie took her own life because of gross indifference to her well-being. One by one, her folks passed away. Father abandoned them, leaving mother and gram-father to wither in the grave.

Years later, she was grafted into an unloving family. Though she was adopted, they did not take her in. Loneliness seeped it's cold dead fingers upon her tender heart. Until she couldn't bear it much longer. Although it was technically an accident. She subconsciously threw herself down the stairs to escape the pain.

Although the story is clearly fictitious, Michael was proving a point. "Neglect can kill. Like a knife …

Invincible Session Outtakes

Here is an exhaustive list of all Invincible tracks that Either was sent to production hell or never quite made the list. According to Rodney Jerkins, there are a heck of a lot of finished outtakes from this session. Enough to fill multiple albums! So I lied. This is by no means an exhaustive list.:)

Fall Again Demo-I knew something spectacular was missing from his latest album! I Just couldn't quite lay my finger on it. I'm glad Michael took time away to be with his sick son. But this track fits in this session like a jigsaw piece. This beautiful Romantic Ballad was co-produced by Walter Afanasieff and Michael Jackson.

Beautiful Girl Demo-I can just see this on a soundtrack for a Romantic movie. Claiming top chart positions worldwide. But for unknown reasons, it was cut at the last moment.

Michael Jackson and Tito both collaborated on an instrumental take which was also shelved.

The Way You Love Me-Sounds very much like something McCartney would do. With the elegant piano a…
