Taken from their title album-Skywriter, The Jackson Five get a few riffs from The Electric Band Orchestra.
This tune is so uplifting and charismatic, I don't know why Michael was so upset with the material Motown handed them(other then the changing tides of the music industry). I love how this song paints a picture of souring through the sky, amidst billowing clouds in a turn-of-the-century jetliner!
If only they updated "Skywriter" for The Victory Album. As well as held off releasing Can You Feel It and "Don't Blame It On The Boogie" until after Thriller's success and video beat the radio star. Just imagine the possibilities!
