The song was covered numerous times. From Gloria Garner, The Commonards, The Sandpipers, among many others. Though Michael's ultra-pure raw vocals out-do them all.
One night before takeoff, Michael Jackson couldn't take the pressure anymore. So he broke down and cried at the airport(his father dragged him on kicking and screaming).
As they approached the stage, quickly he dried up the tears and got out there to sing "Never Can Say Goodbye Girl".
