J5 Cover "Sixteen Candles"

 In 1971, The Jackson Five did a cover of "Sixteen Candles" by The Crests. A bi-racial Doo-Wop group from the 50's. The J5 rendition can be found on the album-Maybe Tomorrow.

 You can get a sneak peak at Jermaine's voice before cracking into adulthood. As he leads the other four through this parody.

 To me, the updated guitar riffs rock. They truly outdone themselves on modernizing the sound 12 years into the future. Don't get me wrong the 1959 versions a classic(listen to it Here).
