RSS is an acronym for "Really Simple Syndication". Basically one of many types of feeds(e.g. atom, RSS) which snatches articles/blog posts from your favorite subscriptions( be it a website, blog, or forum) and delivers them right to your favorite reader(e.g. My Yahoo) or e-mail address in one piece.
It's a great alternative to those who'd just love to get updated but are hesitant in giving away their e-mail addresses.
