Finally, things pick up on track 8 of Goin' Places. The Jacksons second LP away from Motown. I take this as a foreboding of things to come! As he starts getting into the realm of hiccups and gushes. Putting his vocals under the microscope.

Find Me A Girl
My favorite track! "Heaven Knows I Love You Girl" and "Find Me A Girl" are the only songs of true substance from the B side of Goin' Places-The Jacksons last album with Leon Huff and Kenneth Gamble.

Push Me Away
Sandwiched in between "Blame It On The Boogie" and "Things I Do For You" for the fast lane is a slower Ballad meant to prepare us for what's coming next on the album Destiny.

The Jacksons "Blame It On The Boogie"
Due to the confusion on "Destiny's" album credits, many have mistakenly identified M. Jackson as the Michael Jackson. But on the contrary, this fella(also called Michael Jackson) was a late 70's Pop icon in Britain who gave "The Jackson's" the honors on becoming the first to record a rendition to his hit(listen on it Here). Thus, all credit goes to him as the inventor and writer. Yet, "Michael Jackson & The Jackson's" are still best known by this song.
Mike Jackson had this to say about his belated friend...
"The first time was in a lift in the Montcalm Hotel in London and we just said hi," Mick recalls. "Later, at the Top Of The Pops TV show in London, he asked me to sell him my jump suit I was wearing for the show and I declined... MJ was performing Destiny with his brothers."
Lyrics
Hee, hee, hee, hee
My baby’s always dancin’ and it wouldn’t be a bad thing
But I don’t get no lovin’ and that’s no lie
We spent the night in Frisco at every kinda disco
From that night I kissed our love goodbye
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
That nasty boogie bugs me, but somehow how it has drugged me
Spellbound rhythm gets me on my feet
I’ve changed my life completely, I’ve seen the lightning leave me
And my baby just can’t take her eyes off me
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Don’t you blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie, woo
I just can’t, I just can’t
I just can’t control my feet
I just can’t, I just can’t (Yeah)
I just can’t (Woo) control my feet
I just can’t, I just can’t
I just can’t control my feet
I just can’t, I just can’t
I just can’t control my feet
Sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
This magic music grooves me, that dirty rhythm fools me
The devil’s gotten to me through this dance
I’m full of funky fever, a fire burns inside me
Boogie’s got me in a super trance
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Don’t you blame it sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Ow (Sunshine)
Ooh (Moonlight)
Yeah (Good times)
Mmm (Boogie)
You just gotta (Sunshine)
Yeah (Moonlight)
(Good times)
Good times (Boogie)
Don’t you blame it (Sunshine)
You just gotta (Moonlight)
You just wanna (Good times)
Yeah, oh (Boogie)
Blame it on yourself (Sunshine)
Ain’t nobody’s fault (Moonlight)
But yours and that boogie (Good times)
All night long (Boogie)
Can’t stop that boogie (Sunshine)
Ain’t nobody’s fault (Moonlight)
But yours and that boogie (Good times)
Dancin’ all night long (Boogie)
Blame it on yourself (Sunshine)
Ain’t nobody’s fault (Moonlight)
But yours and that boogie, boogie, boogie (Good times)
All night long (Boogie)

Things I Do For You
We pick up the beat on Destiny with a tune similar in theme to "Can You Feel It". Michael Jackson would continue singing this song up until "The Bad Era".

Shake Your Body Down To The Ground
One of my favorites of The Jacksons. Folks, we have now reached "Destiny's" climax! When Disco fever was at it's peak!
The Jacksons wanted to debut this off the album. However, Epic persuaded them to release Blame It On The Boogie.
"Shake Your Body Down To The Ground" is certified by The RIAA for selling over 2,000,000 copies(note: these figures are much higher since his tragic passing on June 25th, 2009).
Lyrics
I don't know whats going happen to you baby
But I do know that I want you
You walk around this town with your head all up in the sky
And I do know that I want you
Let's dance, let's shout
Shake you body down to the ground
Shake you body down to the ground
You tease me with your loving to play hard to get
Cause you do know that I love it
You walk around this town with your head all up in the sky
And I do know that I want you
Let's dance, let's shout

Shake you body down to the ground
Shake you body down to the ground
Shake you body down to the ground
Shake you body down to the ground
You are the spark that lit the fire inside of me
And you know that I love it
I need to do just something to get closer to your soul
And you do know that I want to
Let's dance, let's shout
Let's dance, let's shout

Destiny-The Song
Coming off The Jacksons eponymous album (Destiny) is a moral tune against the materialistic lifestyle(valuing things over people).
Seems like Michael sure has good perspective on the material world. Today he is considered the most generous celebrity in the music industry! And he is not broke(as the media sensationally loves to claim). But rather has a mound full of valuable assets he can't sell in a bad economy.
Now back on topic. This tittle track crisscrosses between two platforms of Rock and Ballad. On a little bit of Soul and R&B.
